A "Studio" Consultation is a term coined by the Biostatistics, Epidemiology, & Research Design (BERD) core of Vanderbilt's CTSA program. A Studio represents a meeting between a clinical investigator and representatives of the analytic cores of Georgia CTSA - Informatics Program, Clinical Research Network (CRN), and BERD. The Studio offers the researcher an opportunity to present an outline of their proposed research and obtain targeted input regarding support from BERD, Informatics, and CRN. The hope is to aid in the design, implementation, and analysis associated with the proposed study in order to maximize competitiveness, accuracy, and reproducibility.

In short, the Studio Consultation offers a one-stop assessment of a proposed research project in order to outline a detailed plan of action for research success including identification of the necessary expertise in biostatistics, epidemiology, comprehensive informatics, and clinical information systems required for a successful project.

A Studio Consultation will assist researchers in any of the following areas:

  1. Hypothesis Generation
  2. Study Design
  3. Implementation
  4. Analysis and Interpretation
  5. Translation
  6. Manuscript Development

Schedule: Consultations are scheduled as needed and are based on the availability of all parties involved and the timeline of the proposal submission.

Location: Emory University, Woodruff Health Sciences Center Administration Building, 1440 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30322
